2017 Honda Civic Type R Ed Napleton Honda arrival date
It’s official! The 2017 Honda Civic Type R will soon be making its debut in the U.S. In fact, Honda fans can expect to see a production version of the new 2017 Honda Civic Type R at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, November 1-4. The question is, when can fans expect to find the new hot-hatch in the Ed Napleton Honda St. Peters showroom?
What are the 2017 Honda Civic Type R specs?
Honda has announced that the new hatchback could arrive in showrooms as early as spring of next year or sooner. Best of all, every North American 2017 Honda Civic Type R will come equipped with a turbocharged 306-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. It will feature all of the good looks of the European Type R, but with new elements, including an intake hood scoop and an exhaust with three pipes in the center.
Fans in Europe got to see the new 2017 Honda Civic Type R prototype at the Paris Motor Show in September. There the hot-hatch was dressed to the nines and flaunted an aggressive front fascia, large inlets, bright red “H” badges and details, carbon fiber side skirts, smoked LED headlamp lenses and much more. For its U.S. debut, Honda is expected to bring a production model to demonstrate the new Type R’s sharp look even without accessories. This is ideal for the SEMA show, which is only open to individuals who are employed in the aftermarket automotive industry.
