When is the 2017 Honda Civic Si arrival date?
The year 2016 was full of product releases from Honda. Fortunately, it looks like 2017 will be the same way. Not only is the 2017 Honda Civic Type R expected to make its highly anticipated debut to the North American market, but the 2017 Honda Civic Si will also go on sale. We can’t wait! But just what can you expect to see on the new Civic Si? We explore all of the sedan’s new high-tech features, capabilities and engine options.
What is new on the 2017 Honda Civic Si?
First of all, what exactly is the 2017 Honda Civic Si? This model has always been a sporty, performance-focused model in the Civic lineup. “Si” stands for “sport-injected” and this model has always been equipped with its own array of high-tech features. We anticipate it will have slightly more horsepower than what is found on the 2017 Honda Civic LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L or Touring.
Honda’s full redesign of the 2016 Honda Civic will also impact the 2017 Civic Si. Car shoppers can expect the 2017 Honda Civic Si to have a similar look and feel to the other 2017 Civic models, but with its own very distinctive flair. For the new Si that means a new turbocharged 1.5-liter direct-injected DOHC four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. There is also an active damper system, active steering system, limited-slip differential and high-performance tires. Best of all, the 2017 Honda Civic will be available in both coupe and sedan body styles. Inside, we expect the 2017 Honda Civic Si to carry many of the Civic line up’s high-tech features.
